Selected candidate must be able to report into the Woodland Hills, CA office on a weekly basis.
The essential responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Understand general assignments and work independently for the entire sprint. Solve complex problems and utilize standard problem-solving techniques (e.g. brainstorming). Communicate and document technical aspects of work in a manner that is easily understood and actionable by peers. Articulate thoughts/design/idea/specs to IT managers and product owners. Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Utilize Python to build data processing applications, automate tasks, and implement data transformations. Design and manage relational databases, ensuring data integrity and performance. Proficiency in SQL is essential for this role. Lead efforts to modernize and optimize existing ETL pipelines for improved performance, scalability, and maintainability. Collaborate with data analysts to create and maintain data models that support business reporting and analytics. Maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, databases, and processes for knowledge sharing and troubleshooting. Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests for data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure robustness and data quality. Perform other duties/projects as assigned.Education, Skills, and Requirements
2-3 Years related experience required. Minimum 1-3 year's experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Python, SQL, and relational databases. Independently work and deliver on an assignment in an Agile team environment Bachelor’s Degree Or equivalent combination of training/experience required. Strong SQL skills and experience with database design and optimization. Proficiency in Python programming Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting. Well-versed in modern development practices (Git, CI/CD). Cloud and AI experience is a plus. Strong analytical and problems solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative Team player, self-starter, motivated, and multi-task oriented. Ability to prioritize work requirements. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Work with other departments and other groups within IT to resolve issuesThe expected salary range for this position is $87,896 to $109,870. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.
