In this role, you will work closely with the QA Team and assist with testing and automating testing on our flagship product and its reporting features. You will identify weak spots in the code base and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems. You will perform hands-on QA testing including data integrity for new features and regression testing while working with developers to resolve all identified defects, risks and issues.

Responsibilities:

Initiate and monitor QA testing, making adjustments for scalability, functionality, and usability    Responsible for testing web applications, creative content and special projectsCreate test cases vs. RTM Matrix against the user stories to support application developmentTesting the application through both manual and automated meansConduct regression, system, integration, and web services testingTest and ensure that software enhancements and system fixes work flawlessly to meet intended business needs according to defined requirementsMake recommendations for revisions or improvements, including product customization, based on client feedbackIdentify user stories and translate them into test cases as required Identifying and log defects using Team Foundation ServerProvide usability and functionality feedback to developersAssist and collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers and Release Manager to ensure that the application development is according to the quality assurance standardsWork closely in collaboration with the developers, designers and engineers to facilitate the building of applications to spec and on timeProvides specific technical guidance on defects to developersEnsures traceability of test cases to requirementsParticipating in sprint planning meetings and daily standup meetings, working with developers, business analysts, project managers, user advocates, and other testers, local and remote
 

Communication:

Maintain ongoing channels of communication with QA, Development and Support teamsAbility to clearly communicate and synchronize efforts with the rest of the QA team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience in creating user stories and translate them into test cases Experience with Confluence, Jira and Team Foundation Server, an assetMust have experience with building and executing manual test cases for client Web & GUI applications.Experience testing RESTful web services and API'sPast experiences with QA testing and automation, GUI driven testing Experience working with data, API QA Testing experience- demonstrated ability to write test plans with traceability to each acceptance criteria listed in requirementsEnsure development projects are delivered to production only after meeting rigorous quality assurance standards in pre-production environmentsStrong analysis and autonomous problem discovery and solving skillsMust be a self-starter, self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a teamHigh attention to detail and accuracy
