QA Analyst with Payer Domain Exp.
Location: Oakland, CA
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent related work experience.
Over 7+ years of IT experience focused on QA software testing preferably in a Healthcare domain.
Possess strong experience in Agile Methodologies demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Have extensive experience in the Payer domain.
Have a proven track record of leading testing efforts in complex projects.
Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Show a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Be able to mentor and guide junior team members fostering a positive team environment.
Display a commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with industry trends.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Lead the testing efforts for various projects ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards.
• Oversee the creation and execution of test plans test cases and test scripts.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Coordinate with development teams to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Implement Agile methodologies to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies throughout the testing process.
• Work with different stakeholders to strategize, design and plan the execution of test cases related to lifecycle upgrades.
• Good knowledge of backend SQL querying skills writing different complex JOINS
• Extensively involved in Defect Reporting by using "JIRA" tool & defect metrics
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve efficiency.
• Ensure the testing team is aligned with the overall project goals and objectives.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$53,477 – $92,500] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
