Job Description:
We are currently seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join Sage’s highly responsive test automation team. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, planning, designing, developing, and maintaining projects and processes that extend the reach of automation, with the goal of reducing manual testing costs while increasing product quality.
*** Please note that this role is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week from our Newcastle office. ***
Key Responsibilities:
• Define automation test objectives, strategies, processes, standards, and metrics, ensuring integration within project tasks.
• Contribute to automation project plans, scope, schedule, and test architecture, while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Support Test Engineers and Developers in identifying valuable automation opportunities and share automation expertise.
• Track, analyze, and report on test results, taking corrective action when needed.
• Lead / participate in designing, developing, and maintaining complex automated tests and architecture to meet Sage's future / current market needs.
• Conduct research to identify automation opportunities, recommend tools, and promote best practices beyond industry standards.
Requirements
• Hands-on experience with JMeter for performance testing, Postman for API testing, and Selenium & WebDriverIO for automation testing.
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with AWS and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
