Job Description

We are seeking a QA Automation Tester in the Denver Tech center area for a 6 month contract opportunity.   In this role, you will be building requirements, test planning, designing/writing manual and automated test cases/scripts, and test execution.  Involved in projects of moderate to high complexity within multiple testing environments.  Additional responsibilities of this role are as follows:

 

Enhance Selenium-based regression suites and Jmeter-based load/performance tests for our primary web applicationsWork with the development team to create, document, and approve system requirementsCollaborate with the quality assurance team to translate functional requirements into test plansManage system defects and enhancements using the JIRA defect tracking systemManage and switch between numerous UNIX-based and Windows-based testing environments and databasesManage test data in MySQL databasesEvaluate and research new testing-related methodologies, tools, and techniques

QualificationsBA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field5+ years of industry experience in a test engineer and/or QA testing roleHighly experienced with object oriented analysis/design, Java, Junit, JavaScript, UNIX scripts, etc.Proficient designing, creating, and debugging Selenium tests and browser web driversProficient designing, creating, and debugging Jmeter load testsExperience with GIT version control and continuous integrationExperience working with database schemas and querying toolsExperience with web application server configuration and deployment (especially Tomcat)Solid knowledge of desktop application software (Microsoft Office, Open Office, etc.)Flexibility to switch between and manage multiple projects at one timePassion to contribute and communicate positively as a team member within a smaller dynamic work environment
