Group Details

The Quality Assurance Tester Engineer performs manual testing on all Tradeweb direct functionality with an eye toward development for automated testing of both web-based and service-based technology. The QA Tester / Engineer works with development and business to plan the testing approach and then execute on the plan. Successful candidates should have product experience in the Fixed Income markets that wish to move into testing or may have a strong testing background with particular emphasis in Electronic trading systems and/or Fixed Income Markets.

Tradeweb Technology jobs are fully remote. The Tradeweb Technology hub is located in our Jersey City office which can be used for team meetings and collaboration efforts.  There may be days where travel to the Jersey City office is recommended for organizational off-sites.

Job Responsibilities

Design, construct and execute programs and automated scripts for testing purposes (regression, performance, load) using Selenium (or potentially similar automation techniques) Functional test new products and regression test existing products during each QA release cycle. Manage the testing, documenting, defect tracking and information flow of multiple projects during each QA cycle. Collaborate often with Development, Business and Support teams to clarify specs, raise issues/concerns and identify risks throughout the software development life cycle.  Write efficient and effective test cases and test scripts based upon specification documents and business user interactions as well as create test scenarios based on understanding of systems in order to regression test, test new functionality and stress conditions (both automated and manual).  Investigate issues found during QA periods by searching log files, exception messages and database tables (Basic SQL queries).  Investigate production issues by recreating in test environments, working with development for resolution and coordinating with Support for release.  Use various tools to simulate FIX scenarios (Verifix). Interact with external clients QA/Dev groups to test new and existing interfaces. Become a subject matter expert on all areas of system functionality.  Assist with development of new automation tools and maintaining existing automation tools Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement to help streamline the development life cycle Keep abreast of changes in browser capabilities and multimedia development standards and test accordingly Tracking of time for future resource estimation

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent area of study. Working knowledge of Fixed Income Trading Markets  3+ years of software QA experience 3+ years of Java or C++ programming (desired skill) Scripting languages such as Perl or shell (desired skill) Experience with Selenium WebDriver test framework. Experience with Jmeter a plus.  Experience with new AI testing tools a plus.  Experience testing FIX protocol Experience with basic UNIX commands using Putty and SQL commands using TOAD. Willing to work some evenings and weekends for production code deployments Source Control knowledge (PVCS, GIT, CVS or VSS) Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision Ability to thrive on a focused, high-energy team in a fast-paced environment as a team player Communication skills capable of supporting complex systems Excellent diagnostic ability Basic System knowledge (UNIX/Windows).  Basic Network knowledge (TCP/IP) Basic Database knowledge (Oracle/sqlplus) Basic Hardware knowledge (UNIX/Windows)

This role will also be eligible to participate in Tradeweb’s discretionary bonus program.  This role is expected to remain open until 3/18/25.
