Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The QA Engineering Intern position will assist and provide support to the Zekelman Industries Technical Team at the Niles, OH Facility and as needed the Farrell, PA Facility.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs microanalysis and physical testing of steel samples and documents all results.Monitors process control parameters for equipment to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.Conducts statistical studies as directed by the quality team.Works closely with other team members to update standard operating instructions based on results of testing and monitoring functions.Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.Performs other duties as they might be assigned.Regular, full-time predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role.

REQUIREMENTS

Pursuing a degree in material science, engineering, chemistry, or related fieldStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficient computer skills (word processing and spreadsheets)Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities.Ability to travel to Internship Summit, hosted at one of our Zekelman Industries’ locations
