Responsibilities

Understand the test case requirement and scope from the domain and infra SMEs

Translate the same in the Python /TCL/REST /Appium scripts

Documentation of the scope and main procedures of the test cases

Integration of testing equipment, traffic and protocol simulators and IP network elements with the automation framework

Develop and modify the drivers and scripts for fetching power equipment, servers, switches, routers and other network elements parameters

Work with the SMEs in helping them Modify and maintain the existing scripts across domains

Perform the user management and automation platform management tasks

Commit the test scripts in the GIT library

Develop the CI/CD platform for test script development and testing cycles

Troubleshooting and debugging of network elements and testing equipment reachability with automation platform

 

Skills

Expertise in scripting of test cases using Python, TCL, REST API

Experience with Gitlab or equivalent version control web-based repositories.

Expertise / Familiarity of the development of test cases in the Appium framework

Experience in designing and scripting test cases for multiple telco domains such as Devices, Core, Radio, Transport & Mobility Test Cases

Hands on experience working with testing equipment for traffic generators and network simulators like Anritsu/Ixia/Viavi/Spirent(STC, Landslide)

Experience in networking domain and devices like Routers, Switches, Firewalls, or other Mobility network elements

Experience with JIRA or similar tracking system in an agile development environment

Strong understanding of IP protocols, layer 2 and layer 3 protocols and underlying concepts

Good understanding of 4G and 5G in atleast one of the telecom domain- radio, core, transport

Excellent analytical skills, debugging and troubleshooting skills

 

Experience

Engineering graduates with > 4 years of experience

2+ years of Experience in Automation of functional and feature testcases in radio/transport/devices domain

Past experience with Spirent iTest Framework and Velocity will be preferred

Formal training and certification in networking concepts such as Cisco certification like CCNA/CCNP certification will be an add on
