Use laboratory and standardized testing procedures to ensure quality and food safety attributes of fluid dairy, non-dairy beverages, sour cream, cottage cheese, and other products meet regulatory and internal specifications to maintain the integrity of Shamrock and our customers’ brands.

\n

Essential Duties:

\n\nUse laboratory equipment and standardized testing procedures to accurately measure and report quality standards of products produced at required frequency\nInterpret results from laboratory testing to ensure any issues are identified as quickly as possible and resolved\nCommunicate with lab supervisor, production personnel, and warehouse associates to ensure issues are corrected in a timely manner\nInterpret and submit samples and required documentation for co-pack vendors\nEvaluate raw ingredients and packaging for quality to ensure no sub-standard raw materials are used in production\nDeliver supplies and laboratory specimens to designated work areas\nClean and sterilize lab area, equipment, and instruments regularly to avoid contamination of samples\nConduct equipment swab tests to confirm cleanliness of equipment\nConduct calibration of lab and production equipment at appropriate frequency\nMaintain finished product reports based on laboratory analysis\nCoach production associates in assigned area on GMPs, Sanitation, and Quality checks to identify risks factors that could lead to non-conforming product\nAudit batching, processing, and filler paperwork and escalate issues when non-conformances are found\nCoordinate communication between manufacturing associates and QA personnel\nUse petrifilm plates to test water, air, ingredient, and product samples for microbial activity\nConduct environmental testing for pathogens\nInterpret and submit petrifilm results used to approve product\nOther duties may be assigned\n\n

Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Dairy Science, Food Science, or related field preferred\n2+ year related experience\nA combination of relevant work experience and education\nMust be available to work with the demands of the department which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays\nAble to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nAble to work with reasonable accommodations in an environment containing major food allergens\nAble to regularly climb stairs and occassionally climb ladders. \nCapable of occasionally lifting 50 pounds unassisted\nAble to work on foot for extended periods of time\nMinimum skill rating of Quality Assurance Technician II (Floor/Micro)\nMust be able to frequently reach up to 52 inches \n\n
