You Are:
UST is searching for an experienced QA Lead with a strong background in QA processes to join our quality assurance team. The QA Lead will be responsible for leading the QA team, developing test strategies, and ensuring the quality of the code developed or being implemented.
The opportunity:
· Lead and mentor the QA team, including both onshore and offshore resources.
· Allocate tasks, manage workloads, and ensure deadlines are met.
· Provide guidance and support to team members in testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
· Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for ETL processes.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Development, Business Analysts, Project Managers) to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.
· Define test objectives, create test cases, and establish metrics to measure test effectiveness.
· Perform hands-on testing of ETL processes, including data validation, data transformation, and data loading.
· Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for ETL processes.
· Identify, report, and track defects, and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
· Validate data flows between different stages of the ETL process to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
· Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA team.
· Implement industry best practices for QA, including automation and CI/CD integration.
· Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization within the ETL testing lifecycle.
· Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
· Generate regular reports on testing progress, defect status, and overall QA metrics.
· Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders on QA activities, risks, and issues.
· Work closely with development teams to understand the architecture, design, and implementation of ETL processes.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure that testing aligns with business requirements and objectives.
· Participate in project meetings and provide QA input and recommendations.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: California
Compensation Range: $76,000-$117,000
Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
