The team
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Lead to join our team. In this role, you will oversee and drive the quality assurance efforts for cloud environments and applications, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of performance, functionality, and security.
The role
Lead the QA efforts for cloud-based applications and environments, focusing on functional, performance, and integration testing to ensure quality at all stages of the software development lifecycle. Validate data and perform end-to-end testing for workloads that are migrated to cloud environments, ensuring that the migrated data and services are working correctly in the new cloud setup. Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins to ensure continuous testing and faster feedback. Lead the creation and execution of automated tests using testing tools like Selenium, JMeter, or Azure Test Plans, and ensure automation scripts are integrated into build pipelines. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure high-quality standards for cloud environments, utilizing core Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, and Networking (VNets, Subnets, NSGs). Work closely with the team to create and enforce testing processes and best practices for cloud migrations, ensuring the integrity and performance of migrated workloads. Utilize Azure-specific migration tools such as Azure Migrate, Site Recovery, and Database Migration Service (DMS) to validate the success of cloud migrations and provide detailed reports on findings. Oversee and participate in defect tracking, ensuring that all issues are logged and tracked accurately in Jira or Azure DevOps Boards. Ensure that testing aligns with business and project requirements while meeting performance benchmarks, using tools like JMeter for load and performance testing. Actively participate in agile methodologies, contributing to Scrum ceremonies and collaborating with teams in a fast-paced, iterative delivery process. Provide mentorship and guidance to other QA team members, fostering a strong quality-driven culture across the organization. Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and test reports, ensuring transparency and traceability of QA activities.What you’ll bring
9+ years of experience in QA, with a focus on functional, performance, and integration testing in cloud environments and applications. Minimum of 3+ year experience in a security engineering role, with experience in network security, application security, and security frameworks Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, JMeter, or Azure Test Plans for test case automation and execution. Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins. Familiarity with core Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, and Networking (VNets, Subnets, NSGs). Hands-on experience with Azure-specific migration tools like Azure Migrate, Site Recovery, and Database Migration Service (DMS). Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps Boards. Solid understanding of agile methodologies, with experience in Scrum ceremonies and iterative development cycles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically about complex issues. ISTQB Certification or equivalent QA certifications is highly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality in all deliverables. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and project timelines. Must be US CitizenAs required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $130k-$140k base+ Bonus+ Benefits. The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital Service's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
