Summary of Role:

We are seeking an experienced QA Manager with a strong background in software delivery for business-critical applications. As a key member of a highly collaborative and dynamic project team, you will oversee the full project lifecycle while driving continuous improvement in quality frameworks and procedures. This role requires a proven leader who can manage QA strategies, risks, and execution, ensuring quality assurance standards are met across all projects.

2. What You Will Do:

QA Management & Leadership:

Oversee and coordinate QA activities across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to risk-based testing strategies. Lead, develop, and manage QA Leads, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment. Act as the primary escalation point for QA issues, providing coaching and guidance to resolve challenges. Ensure new team members are trained in QA standards and methodologies. Track, monitor, and manage QA risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

Oversee all phases of testing, including SIT, UAT, Performance, Non-Functional, and Automation. Manage test planning, preparation, execution, and defect tracking. Ensure QA sign-offs align with go-live checklists and project requirements. Facilitate QA lessons learned to improve future project implementations.

Solution Design & Test Framework Development:

Participate in solution proposal reviews and design workshops. Provide QA insights on functional and automation architecture specifications. Define and implement QA strategy, ensuring alignment with project demands. Identify and communicate environmental and resource requirements to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting:

Influence decision-making and project direction by identifying and addressing underlying business needs. Report QA progress, risks, and strategies to senior management. Ensure alignment with Agile methodologies and industry best practices.

3. Required Skillset:

Technical & Industry Expertise:

8+ years of experience in software testing or development. 3+ years in a QA management role, overseeing complex, business-critical applications. Experience in Agile environments and test management tools (JIRA, Confluence). Strong understanding of test planning, execution, automation, and defect management. Proven ability to implement new QA strategies and process improvements.

Leadership & Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management. Experience reporting to senior management and handling project escalations. Capability to push back on unrealistic expectations and ensure quality standards.

Communication & Collaboration:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including development, business, and IT stakeholders. Experience in the Financial Services / Banking Industry is a plus.

Certifications & Qualifications:

ISTQB Advanced Certification in Software Testing (Preferred). Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
