As Development Manager you will be expected to establish a collaborative partnership with key stakeholders and directly managing Foodbuy IT Scrum Teams consisting of developers and quality analysts. In this role you will partner with Scrum Master and Product Owner to hold the team accountable to consistent Agile best practices. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and outstanding analytical and research skills, as well as a passion for leading and growing others. In addition to being a seasoned, well-trained professional, the successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to inspire confidence from, and to collaborate closely with technology leaders and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct Quality Assurance testing (Manual & Automation).
+ Lead QA teams to ensure quality of applications.
+ Define and enforce QA best practices, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all testing activities.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure high-quality software delivery.
+ Lead the QA team in implementing automation initiatives across the organization, ensuring efficient and effective QA processes.
+ Partner with Development Managers and Scrum Master to resolve and escalate impediments, manage risks, assure value delivery and drive program level continuous improvement.
+ Develop and maintain automation frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and reduce manual effort.
+ Manage test data and environments to support accurate and efficient testing.
+ Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate system performance under various conditions.
+ Oversee security testing efforts in collaboration with the CISO and other security teams.
+ Mentor and coach QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
+ Ensure alignment with SAFe Agile principles and practices, participating in PI planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
Job Qualifications
+ Minimum 3+ years of experience managing direct reports or leading quality analysts.
+ Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a quality lead / quality automation engineer.
+ Extensive hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks.
+ Expertise in test automation tools like Selenium, JMeter, Postman, or similar.
+ Expertise in of the shelf testing tools like Tosca, Test Complete, Leapworks or TestRigor
+ Strong understanding of scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.
+ Experience with agile methodologies and working in agile environments.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience using test case management tools.
+ Demonstrated track record of successful ability to manage large and complex software implementations.
+ Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people.
+ Ability to easily build new relationships and proactively establish a variety of contacts across the organization.
+ Proven ability to balance concurrent activities.
+ Bonus Qualification
+ Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
+ Strong analytical skills to understand complex production processes and identify areas of improvement.
+ Previous exposure working in a SAFe agile or Scrum At Scale environment
+ Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server
