Job Description
This candidate will play a vital role in enhancing our market share by implementing quality control and assurance plans for construction projects, specifically focused on commercial underground utilities such as water and sewer. The candidate will be responsible for stamping and signing off on completed work.
ResponsibilitiesImplement quality control and assurance plans for construction projects focused on commercial underground utilities.Stamp and sign off on completed work.Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.Assist in resolving quality issues in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors.Maintain detailed documentation of quality control processes, inspection reports, and corrective actions.Provide training and support to construction personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.Monitor the performance of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards.Essential SkillsConstruction managementCommercial constructionField engineeringConcrete inspectionField constructionQA/QC experience with concrete or underground utilities (3-5 years preferred)Underground constructionUnderground utilityACI certification (American Concrete Institute)Additional Skills & QualificationsQ-Cast certificationExperience with underground construction or similarExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret blueprints and specificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management softwareCertification in Quality Control (e.g., CQC Certification) is preferredAdvanced OSHA certification (OSHA 30) is a plusWork Environment
The work environment includes both onsite construction and a fabrication shop. The headquarters office is located in far west Gretna. The candidate will be part of a family-oriented company that values and rewards hard work, with opportunities for growth and advancement as the department expands.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00
