Electronic microscopes are the most sophisticated laboratory instruments that are used today. These tools and our software applications are used by scientists and engineers in life science, material sciences and semiconductor industry, indirectly affecting our life in many aspects.
Location / division team
The Validation and QA group is one of the pillars of the Material Science Research and Development organization and part of Engineering team responsible for SDB and TEM microscopes development.

How will you make an impact?
As a Manager of team, you will be leading of an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for software and system/product testing.
Objective of this team is to improve ease-of-use for our customers and performance of the Electron Microscope (throughput, repeatability, image quality etc.) through all kind of system automation. You will work closely together with other subject areas such as system engineering, customer service and operations.
The team is also responsible for maintenance, continuous improvements and collaboration with other software and hardware development teams. The developments are done in multi-disciplinary teams across multiple sites in Europe.
Position
Lead team including responsibilities for goal settings, performance evaluations, attracting new talent and organization of trainings.Proficiency in managing, coaching, and mentoring team members.Providing effort estimations and team member allocations to staff the projects that are requesting support from the team.Recognizing opportunities for improvements within the team or on the collaborations with other competence teams, or in the processes that are used. Driving towards implementation of those suggested improvements.Working as quality representative for Material Science product and projects.Qualifications:

A university degree (MSc or PhD) in technical field is required, or equivalent experience.Proven experience quality assurance area is required.Typically requires proven experience in people management.Advanced knowledge on a broad area of Electron Microscopy related technologies is preferred, but relevant experience in other highly sophisticated industries will be considered.Excellent skills in persuading, inspiring, developing and motivating are required in the interaction with other people.Experience with software development and agile way of working is beneficial.Personal:Diversity in our teams is an important element to building an effective and challenging working environment.
