POSITION  - QA SPECIALIST - CONSTRUCTION

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a full-time construction Quality Assurance Specialist to support, monitor, and manage our ongoing projects with one of Washington’s largest employers.  The ideal candidate will be a “Construction Subject Matter Expert” able to provide sufficient technical, supervisory, and administrative direction to ensure the SOW is completed at a level to meet Arcadis's approved plans and specifications.   This is an on-site role in which 50% of the work hours will be undertaken during the evening hours.

Role accountabilities:

Oversee onsite large complex construction projects to ensure compliance with building and safety regulations Should be able to read, understand, and interpret construction drawings and specifications for new construction or modifications of existing systems. He or she shall read and interpret building plans, wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications, sketches, and maintenance or repair manuals Possess knowledge of conventional technical concepts, principles, and practices, along with a broad range of operational experience in all inter-related fields such as mechanical, plumbing, electrical, architectural, and fire protection systems Be able to constantly discuss project information with the General Contractor’s Project Manager (PM) or designee to analyze status and progress Maintain a professional relationship with the GC to coordinate and expedite efforts on projects Review submittals, RFIs, perform quality assurance (QA) work procedures and techniques (e.g., engineering, inspection, testing, production, and maintenance)

Qualifications & Experience:

Experienced construction professional who is a technical specialist with skills overseeing sub-contractors and other related construction professionals. Deep multidisciplinary inspection experience on large construction projects  12 years of construction experience working on larger complex projects with strong stakeholder and multidiscipline project professional leadership Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards  Strong commitment to health and safety  Good communication skills written and oral  Experience working with a range of construction project software like:  Excel, MS Project, P6, MS Office, etc.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
