The Red Lion Team is seeking a QA Specialist II on First (1st) shift.

Summary:

Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations. Follows and/ or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures and systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17025 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, document control, corrective actions, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.

Major Position Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

Prepares and implements Quality Assurance policies, procedures & review cyclesMaintains and updates internal audit programs and required audit schedulesParticipates in audits and creates audit reportsEvaluates audit findings and aids in the implementation of appropriate corrective actionsMaintains and improves Quality Management System and generate reports as neededCreates, updates & leads Quality training as neededMay administer the material review boards & databaseMay also lead or support various projects as assigned Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

Associate's Degree in Quality Assurance or other related degree preferred2-4 years' experienceOR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree in Quality Assurance or other related degree preferredInternal Auidt CertificationLead Auditor Certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

Batch Testing. Inspection. Nondestructive Testing. Product QA. Quality Assurance Process. Quality Improvement. Quality Inspection. Quality Management System (QMS).Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Physical Demands:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.May need to stand for long periods of timeWork may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machineryThis position is Safety SensitiveMay be requested to work a different shift

Travel Requirements: 

Less than 25% travel likely.
