The Quality Assurance Supervisor assists the QA Managers to assure compliance with both Lactalis and regulatory requirements. Responsible for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Sanitation Practices (GSPs), quality of conformity, and quality of services. Inspect and audit the operation in all phases of quality performance. Will assist the plant during inspections and audits with customers, third party, and regulatory agencies.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
Maintains QA objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.Oversees insect and rodent prevention programs and follow up with plant sanitation.Informs all essential personnel on new/changing regulations related to the Quality Control function within responsibility. Cooperates with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.Demonstrates professionalism in all aspects of plant’s rules and regulations and encourages quality personnel performance.Identifies strengths and/or weaknesses of the employees and demonstrates the ability to train and coach to strengthen weaknesses and utilize strengths.Performs administrative managerial duties in an accurate, timely, and professional manner (phone calls, voicemail, paperwork, meetings).Works to facilitate the exchange of data between various departments and QA employees to ensure quality compliance is met.Maintains open communication with all employees and managers; actively seeks ways to improve employee relations.Performs daily, weekly, and monthly observations and submits written monthly plant inspections with conditions needing improvement to plant management.Communicates results to production, packaging, and managers when discrepancies arise and offers solutions. Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree in Food, Dairy, or Natural Science from a four-year college/university preferred.
Experience
· 2-3 years’ experience in both Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
· 2+ Years Management.
Specialized Knowledge
· Microsoft Office Proficient; Work, Excel, Outlook
· ISO quality management systems.
· HACCP
· Statistical process regarding regulatory agencies, i.e., USDA, FDA, etc.
Skills / Abilities
· Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
· Ability to work well with others.
