The role involves modernizing legacy systems built with COBOL and ALC, integrating with Java and C++ components, while ensuring robust quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in testing tools, and experience in mainframe environments. This position is fully remote and offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team modernizing mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities: + System Analysis & QA Execution: + Analyze existing mainframe systems and modernized components for functionality, performance, and integration issues. + Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. + Testing Tools Utilization: + Use Selenium to automate functional and regression testing. + Utilize JIRA for defect tracking, reporting, and test case management. + Perform performance testing using tools like LoadRunner to ensure system scalability and reliability. + Defect Management: + Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and prioritize defects and track them through resolution. + Verify fixes and enhancements post-resolution to ensure adherence to requirements. + Documentation: + Create and maintain detailed QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, defect logs, and summary reports. + Collaboration: + Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure successful implementation of modernized systems. + Provide insights into QA processes and best practices to enhance project delivery. Qualifications: + Required Experience: + 5+ years of experience in QA/System Analysis roles. + Experience working on mainframe modernization projects with COBOL and ALC environments. + Familiarity with Java and C++ code structures for modernized components. + Proficiency with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, and LoadRunner. + Technical Skills: + Strong understanding of legacy mainframe systems and ability to assess modern integration points. + Hands-on experience in creating and executing automated test scripts. + Solid understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies. + Soft Skills: + Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with additional mainframe languages or modernization tools. + Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments or migration to cloud platforms. + Certifications in ISTQB, Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or related QA certifications.
