Hybrid workforce:

Job Summary: 

The QA Team Lead plays a role in the analysis and validation of a project’s functional, performance, and security requirements, including the creation of test plans and test scripts as appropriate. The Software Quality Engineer Team Lead monitors every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to Experity standards. This role helps meet deadlines by breaking up the development process into attainable testing goals and relaying any issues back to the engineering and product teams or leaders. Additionally, the Team Lead provides guidance and mentoring to the QA team.

Responsibilities:

Work with client applications to become a subject matter expert on functionality. Test software using best practice methodologies. Execute test cases for assigned areas. Mostly manual; however, up to 15% of cases may be automation. Analyze current needs/requests and compare with existing system functions and requirements. Work within the timelines established for software development turnaround times. Maintain expertise in evolving software, related operating systems, and advances in information technology. Report test results and defects utilizing appropriate departmental software programs. Ensure all business and technical requirements are covered by test cases. Prioritize test cases to ensure the highest risk and most important test cases are executed first. Document test results to support the efficient resolution of problems and to capture defect data. Collaborate with business analysts, business users, and development stakeholders to gather data for test coverage. Recommend modifications to standard testing processes to improve quality and effectiveness. Develop metrics to assist business, testers, and developers. Manages and Mentors Quality Assurance Testers. Connects team goals and objectives to overall strategy. Provides oversight and direction to direct reports, providing frequent and timely feedback. Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities. Manages performance deficiencies in a timely and clear manner, taking disciplinary action when necessary. Maintains employee work schedules including training, vacations and paid time off, telecommuting and overtime scheduling. Identifies problems, creates and implements effective solutions. Creates and implements new practices, processes and practices. Consciously creates a workplace culture that is consistent with the organization's core values. Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Five years of experience as an embedded tester. Two years indirect supervisor or leadership experience. Understanding of software design, development, and architecture (SLDC) SQL scripting experience Experience with Katalon Studio or similar test automation tools Experience in e-commerce or large-scale web application. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred: 

Experience in windows configuration/application tools. Experience with modern bug tracking tools. Experience in healthcare technology.


Budgeted salary range:

$84,000 to $105,000

Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Software that healthcare providers use to input patient data, such as medical history, diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and test results. Practice Management (PM): Software that the clinic front desk staff uses to register the patient once they arrive for their appointment.
