Job Title: Quality Assurance TechnicianReporting to: QA Supervisor2nd shift available Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:Auditing, documenting and enforcing USDA and facility regulationsPerform checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality program is being followedMonitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and perform HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.Must work with FSIS/USDA and present records per the agency’s requestAid Quality Assurance Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigationsWork closely with production associates in monitoring meat product AQL standards and specifications, correcting any deficiencies and notifying management of any violations of USDA regulations or HACCP requirements.Maintain lab equipment by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance is performedPerform all other duties as assigned Key Qualifications, Abilities, and Skills:Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and some weekendsMust be willing to learn all aspects of food safetyMust have strong verbal and written English communication skillsMust be willing to work in both hot and cold environmentsProficiency in Microsoft Office EOE/Vets/Disability
