Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented QA Technician to join our team. The QA Technician will be responsible for performing essential laboratory duties, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and possess relevant certifications.

ResponsibilitiesPerform essential laboratory duties including preparation of test equipment, media preparation, sample preparation, and test controls.Conduct tests according to standardized written procedures, enter results, and report any out-of-specification results.Assist in investigations related to test results.Conduct in-plant sampling and testing in conjunction with laboratory programs that monitor customer quality expectations.Maintain appropriate documentation.Perform plant quality control audits.Ensure regular and punctual attendance and physical presence in the workplace.Complete duties timely and accurately.Essential SkillsQuality AssuranceHACCPFood SafetyQAHACCPSQFGMPFDASQFFood QualityAuditPCQIAdditional Skills & QualificationsQA Experience within the Food IndustryPrevious experience leading and supporting an FDA AuditPCQI, HACCP, or SQF Practitioner certifications are a plusWork Environment

The position is based in a cheese manufacturing facility and laboratory. Work hours are from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Expect to work every other Saturday during the late summer through early fall period. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
