**QA Technician**
**Paying $24 / HR - $26 / HR**
**Location - Portland, OR**
**Responsibilities:**
+ Ensures the quality of product and services by testing product; performing audits of product lines and placing defective products on hold, as necessary.
+ Executes quality assurance programs by upholding quality programs expectations and standards.
+ Responsible for validating and verifying that components of the SQF programs are in place and being executed as directed by the SQF Practitioner.
+ Reviews CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventive Action) program.
+ Perform various product tests by testing batches, conducting taste test on finished product; checking ingredients and recipes; logging results and correcting and discrepancies.
+ Communicate with key personnel within the organization regarding the status of ingredients and product
+ Manage raw ingredients through inspections; prepares holds reports and hold tags; informs necessary personnel and/or departments to determine the disposition of items on hold.
+ Complete necessary daily duties such as entering daily production data into the computer; filing paperwork and completing various reports.
**Qualifications:**
+ Excellent communication and coaching skills.
+ Detail oriented and organized.
+ Strong background in sanitation principles and practices.
+ Proficient computer skills in spreadsheets; data bases and word processing.
+ Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products and processes.
+ Self-motivated, results orientated and excellent personal skills.
+ Strong background in HAACP; Food Safety; GMP; AIB and SPC.
+ Must have a hands-on work ethic.
+ Self-starter and ability to work independently.
+ Good organizational skills.
+ Must have an understanding of Food Safety and GMP’s.
**Environment/ Shift:**
+ Manufacturing company.
+ Day shift: 5:30am - 2pm, Monday through Friday.
+ Must be open to OT: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 2am start time.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00
