Schedule: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm, A/B Rotating Schedule - (3) days one week and (4) days the next.

Work Location: 1801 N 36th St, Grand Forks, ND

Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $22.80 per hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Inspects, monitors, or audits all of the following:

a. Incoming raw materials.

b. Product additives to ensure required proportions are being added.

c. Review documentation pertaining to quality control audits, metal detectors, weight control, packaging, and labeling integrity.

e. Review documentation for all control points and critical control points per HACCP program.

2. Audits all production and operator records for quality issues and conformance to reporting standards.

3. Assemble daily quality data for plant performance metrics and Quality Report.

4. Review metal detection logs. Take necessary action on non-conformances.

5. Audit daily paperwork.

6. Reconcile and verify daily additive information.

7. Daily evaluation of product according to PMC evaluation procedures.

8. Evaluate product for die wear and record measurements.

9. Prepare Certificates of Analysis for outgoing shipments.

10. Prepare samples and send them out for microbiological analysis.

11. Prepare paperwork for the following days production.

12. Prepare labels for production.

13. Place or release non-conforming products on hold. Log appropriate information.

14. Tracks inconsistencies and reports to manager.

15. Weight control.

16. Reports on substandard situations.

17. Collects retained samples.

18. Collecting product for customer sample requests

19. Processing checklists and measurements.

20. Records results of all product evaluations.

21. Ensures all paperwork for organic products is stamped “Organic”.

22. Ensures all lab paperwork is dated, stamped (as needed) and kept in an organized manner.

23. Tracks product die wear.

24. Maintains paperwork for any products sent to outside labs for testing.

25. Performs Proximate Analysis on in-coming raw materials (grain, additives) to ensure products are within required standards (granulation, speck count, ash).

26. Conducts organoleptic tests, including air oven/NIR comparisons, moistures and cook-off, on finished product and evaluates integrity.

27. Provides direction and support to line operators to ensure customer specifications are met.

28. Collects product samples for outside laboratory testing and microbiological analysis when needed.

29. Stores all samples for future evaluation except specified products which are to be left out for examination the next day.

30. Other duties as assigned.
