Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated QA Technician to join our team. The QA Technician will be responsible for performing essential laboratory duties, conducting in-plant sampling and testing, and maintaining documentation to ensure our customer's quality expectations are met. This role requires regular attendance and a strong presence in the workplace.
ResponsibilitiesPerform essential laboratory duties including preparation of test equipment, media preparation, sample preparation, and test controls.Conduct tests according to standardized written procedures, including entering results and reporting any out-of-specification results.Assist in investigations related to test results.Conduct in-plant sampling and testing in conjunction with the laboratory programs.Maintain appropriate documentation.Perform plant quality control audits.Ensure timely and accurate completion of duties.Essential SkillsExperience in Quality Assurance within the Food Industry.Experience leading and supporting an FDA Audit.Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMP, and FDA regulations.Additional Skills & QualificationsPCQI, HACCP, or SQF Practitioner certifications are a plus.Work Environment
The work environment includes a cheese manufacturing facility and laboratory. The work hours are from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Typically, the workload increases in late summer through early fall, requiring work every other Saturday during this period.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
