QA/Test Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA/Test Lead to join our dynamic IT team. As a QA/Test lead you will play a pivotal role in leading the quality assurance process across various software projects. You will be responsible for managing the test planning, execution, and overall test strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality is built into the product from the beginning.  This role is ideal for someone who is both a hands-on technical expert and a strong leader, capable of driving initiatives that improve the quality, performance, and stability of our products while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture. 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Design and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with business goals, product needs, and development timelines. Develop, lead, and implement comprehensive test plans—including manual and automated tests—across multiple projects. Coordinate end-to-end testing, covering functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing. Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, encouraging a collaborative and high-performance environment. Provide training and support to team members, improving their technical and testing skills. Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies. Advocate for standard methodologies in test automation, CI/CD integration, and agile testing to enhance team productivity and software quality. Know the latest with industry trends and tools, recommending enhancements to our testing approach. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, product owners, and business analysts to define requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Communicate testing progress, risks, and results to collaborators, promoting visibility and timely decision-making. Facilitate regular meetings to discuss test progress, share feedback, and address issues promptly. Track and lead defects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution with development teams. Conduct root cause analysis on defects, working to eliminate recurring issues through improved testing and development practices. Provide clear, actionable reports on test results, product quality, and risks to senior management. Champion the adoption and maintenance of test automation frameworks to boost efficiency. Ensure the successful integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for early issue detection. Lead and optimize testing tools, environments, and data for maximum test coverage.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Extensive experience with both manual and automated testing. Proficiency with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Tosca). Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., Load-Runner, JMeter). Expertise in API testing using tools like Postman. Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies, particularly Agile (Scrum, Kanban). Experience with test management tools. Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., Azure) and testing in cloud-native environments. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate sophisticated testing processes to diverse audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. ISTQB certification (Foundation, Sophisticated, or Test Manager). Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD). Experience with security testing and tools. Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) practices. Experience with data-driven testing and handling large datasets.
