As a QA Tester (AutoCAD / Revit) for the Autodesk App Store, the candidate will primarily be in a testing role with a focus on the quality assurance (QA) of applications submitted by third-party developers. The QA Tester (AutoCAD / Revit) will test third-party applications working with Autodesk products and ensuring they meet the requisite quality requirements before posting them to be downloaded by end users from the Autodesk App Store.
Responsibilities
Utilize your experience in CAD product usage (AutoCAD/Revit) to conduct thorough testing of third-party applications
Perform strong manual testing to ensure applications meet Autodesk's quality standards
Conduct validation testing to verify that applications function as intended and meet all specified requirements
Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in both oral and written forms to stakeholders and third-party developers
Leverage proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role to provide internal quality assurance for applications
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors, providing detailed reports and feedback to developers for resolution
Apply an analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude to identify and address issues during the testing process
Control and manage your own daily test activities, ensuring timely and efficient testing of applications
Maintain a high level of attention to details to ensure all aspects of applications are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall quality assurance process and the success of the Autodesk App Store
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
Hands-on experience in using CAD products such as AutoCAD or Revit
Knowledge and experience in testing add-ins, especially for CAD products
Knowledge about manual testing capabilities with a keen eye for detail
Good knowledge of validation testing techniques and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively communicate testing activities and findings in both oral and written forms
Proficiency in documenting and troubleshooting errors
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Autodesk's software ecosystem and its application in various industries
Experience in working with add-ins
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Experience in providing training or mentoring to junior QA team members
