Job Description:
DDOT is looking for a QA Tester Lead-Journeyman 6-10 years of experience. Provides assessments of technical and operational practices based on leading industry standards specific to the requested technology.
The QA Tester Lead will work closely with the project stakeholders to gain understanding of requirements.
The QA Tester Lead will perform the following day to day responsibilities and Duties:
Analyze and obtain understating of requirements.Actively participate in requirement gathering sessions.Actively participate in team and stakeholders meetings.Writes test cases and scripts.Maintain and establish test data.Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the application is free of defects and meets customer business needs.Perform verification using defined methods, procedures.Assist the development team in reproducing reported issues.Document issues found during testing and works with Development team to resolve the issue.Write SQL statements.prepare and update bug reports.Provide Test Result Reports to management.Candidate will be performing both manual and automated testing, with a larger focus on the automated side.Candidate will help developing detailed test plans based on the requirements and will develop test cases. Responsibilities include, performing functional, non-functional (cross browser testing, performance testing). Documenting and analyzing test results and providing management reports on test coverage.
The QA Tester Lead will work with the stakeholders and management on User Acceptance Testing to validate business requirements and resolve issues. Work with the project teams to develop and document release and deployment plans. Provide Operations and Maintenance Support including logging/tracking defects, testing and debugging production issues and assisting the project teams with deployment activities.
Responsibilities:
The QA Tester Lead will work under general supervision and follow the established procedures for quality assurance, design and implement test plans, including creating automated test scripts using test tools, processes and procedures. This role is responsible for the coordination, creation, execution, maintenance of test cases, and automated functional test scripts to ensure quality control standards are achieved.
The QA Tester Lead will write test plans based upon requirements, develop functional automated test scripts, perform testing, will have deep knowledge in software testing methodology and the system development life cycle. Develop and maintain any functional and regression tests to ensure code is functioning as designed. Apply test methodology and product knowledge in the design of tests and testing strategies. Support testing of multiple major releases in coordination with development team/vendors while monitoring testing activities and key internal deliverable. Participation in design specification review and technical documentation review is essential to performing these duties. Create testing summary reports, clearly communicating to management all testing results. Work closely with the development team to ensure that defects are dealt with in a timely and professional manner. Help prioritize defects to be fixed using an understanding of the business requirements and the needs of the customer.Provide testing support for all Software Applications that are tested by SQA team. Provide production support of software products by investigating and recreating reported defects Experience with scripting SQL queries and good understanding of the Oracle 11g or 12c Database. Test/validate data inbound/outbound files for internal/external interfaces and be familiar with standard web architectures. Assist project teams in determining appropriate quality goals and acceptance criteria. Develop and maintain repeatable and scalable automation test suites; generate manual test scenarios and test cases in a format that can be automated. Work closely with development team to understand how product changes affect maintenance of test cases and the QA testing environments. Experience writing test plan and test cases and execute test cases. Required. 5 Years.
Experience in emerging and current technologies including GIS/Cloud/SOA/Web services; Agile process. Required. 5 Years.
