The successful candidate for the Associate Scientist II position will join the Cell Services team with a multifaceted approach for providing high value services based on the DiscoverX PathHunter platform and other proprietary technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform QC for current and new cell productsPerform QC for reagent formulationSupport the cell bank stability programResponsible for troubleshooting assay and reagent issuesDevelop and optimize processes and/or protocols to improve assay reproducibilitySupport testing for CAPA, ECN and Technical SupportGenerate and prepare protocols and/or reports for assay improvements and other qualification processesGenerate new or revise SOPsProvide support to the team and to other departmentsEnsure on-time delivery and improve TAT for cell productsAssist Manager in facilitating daily performance management meetingWork with R&D to perform new cell product assays efficiently and successfullyParticipate and present in weekly group meetingMaintain electronic laboratory notebook and product database

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

Associate degree, BS (preferred) or MS degree in biology / related area with at least 2 year of cell-based Quality Control in an industrial area.Experience in culturing mammalian cellsExpertise in culturing and manufacturing multiple cell lines types.Experienced in multi-well plate assays including GPCR assay methodologies such as cAMP and Ca2+ assays. Authorization to work in the US for any employer, indefinitely, without sponsorshipFor all Eurofins Discovery Services Businesses in US; Successful applicants will be required to confirm positive COVID-19 vaccination status or demonstrate eligibility for medical or religious exemptions prior to commencing employment

The Ideal Candidate would possess: 

Knowledge of using Excel, PowerPoint or other programs for laboratory sample and reagent managementExperience in cryopreservation of mammalian cellsDetailed oriented and consistent in experimental approachExcellent problem solving and interpersonal skillsMust be team-oriented and accustomed to working with other scientistsDemonstrated written and verbal communication skills

This role pays in the range of $32 - $35 per hour commensurate on experience
