Job Description

The QC Chemist will conduct chemical, physical, and performance testing to support the chemical manufacturing process. The role involves analyzing raw materials, in-process materials, and finished product samples. You will perform data entry, generate and file records, set up lab equipment, perform calibrations, and recommend/initiate corrective actions for lab and product non-conformance. This position supports safety, quality, 5S, ISO, GMP, and housekeeping policies and procedures.

ResponsibilitiesConduct chemical, physical, and performance testing in accordance with established policies and procedures.Analyze raw materials, in-process materials, and finished product samples.Perform data entry and generate and file records.Set up laboratory equipment and perform calibrations.Recommend and initiate corrective actions for lab and product non-conformance.Support safety, quality, 5S, ISO, GMP, and housekeeping policies and procedures.Actively contribute to continuous quality, environmental, and safety improvement processes.Perform tests including colorimetry, IR, titrations (auto and manual), viscosity, turbidity, digital density, melting and freezing point, GC, LC-MS, and atomic absorption.Record results into Excel or SAP.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, or an Associate Science Degree with a minimum of 2 years QC work experience, or a 2-year Chemistry degree with a minimum of 4 years QC work experience.Self-motivated and results-oriented.Computer literate with excellent written and oral communication skills.Familiarity with standard lab methodology and instrumentation.Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with gas chromatography, GMP, analytical chemistry, wet chemistry, quality control, quality assurance, titration, chromatography, method validation, ICP, CGMP, pipetting, GC-MS, viscosity, mass spectrometry, biochemistry, and batch records.Work Environment

The QC lab is a climate-controlled, clean, and spacious manufacturing lab. The team consists of 10-12 individuals, including chemists on each shift, fixed chemists, a Quality Manager, and a Supervisor. You will train on the 1st shift and then transition to a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. The job offers a pay increase once permanently hired, annual bonuses and merit raises, 11 vacation days, 7 floating holidays, and a 6% match on 401k contributions.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00
