Your Role

EMD Electronics (Versum Materials) is seeking a highly motivated individual with extensive characterization skills as a lab chemist. The selected candidate will be expected to be a key contributor with versatile skills at fast-paced lab to support production of CMP slurries in Dallas, TX used for silicon wafer processing.

Perform experiments by various chemical and analytical techniques, including but not limited to the following: Inductively coupled plasma – optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES)High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)Inductively coupled plasma – mass spectrometry (ICP-MS)Ion ChromatographyNanoscale particle size analyzer Fourier Transform Near InfraredPerform ICP and IC instrument troubleshooting and maintenanceBe a main contributor in a fast-paced wet lab and Class 100 cleanroom to support production, new product transfer and cross-functional teams in semi-conductor industrySkilled on metrology analysis, Gage repeatability & reproducibility study and failure analysis

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other Life Science discipline10+ years of lab work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience on method transfer as well as performing complicated metrology study including but not limited to Gage R&R, matching studyStrong knowledge on LIMS, Tableau and SAPStrong ability to adjust priority and collaborate and successfully work in a team environment while completing individual projects is requiredExperience with clean room characterization (e.g., ICP OES, MS, Microwave digestion, trace contaminant sample prep) and IC technique (strong trouble shooting skills) Strong hands-on experimental skills on advanced analytical instruments and analytical mindset, high attention to detail and self-initiative
