Summary
The QC Chemistry is responsible for carrying out routine tests and checks and providing essential support in an onsite laboratory to support Chemistry team projects by: Performing daily laboratory functions, conducting analytical testing, maintenance of chemicals and consumables needed to ensure labs run smoothly , and prepare relevant documentation in compliance with internal QMS system, ISO 17025 and WHS requirements
Main Responsibilities:
• General labs housekeeping, maintenance and organization of equipment, storage, and waste management aligned with company’s procedures.
• Ensure lab work is carried out appropriately under Quality Management System policies and procedures
• Ensure all records are maintained, detailed, and accurately documented in QMS system
• Make sure all equipment are calibrated, maintenance reports are completed, routine checks of all equipment are done in accordance with the QMS
requirements and cadence (eg. quarterly/monthly, or as required), and ISO 17025 requirements
• Manage and update chemical and equipment inventories in lab using specialized software/platforms
• Workflow management for the day-to-day lab operations (ensure all reagents, chemicals, consumables, and equipment are available and properly functioning
when needed)
• Manage purchasing, receiving and documentation of consumables, chemicals and equipment used in Chemistry laboratory
• Adhere to appropriate WHS policies and procedures and execute safety and environmental polices/procedures in lab.
• In cooperation with other staff, assist in the continual development and improvement of procedures
• Review internal and external procedure documents and update as necessary (WIQ, STM, IQ/OQ/PQ)
• Prepare risk assessment documents for identified risks of lab activities/testing and implement the controls according to SSOP005
• Perform assigned daily analyses ensuring the accuracy of analytical results (either following procedures or under the direction of development scientists or
management)
• Meet productivity and quality goals
• Work to tight deadlines and under pressure.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
