Job Title: QC ChemistJob Description Depending on the laboratory area, the QC Chemist will perform analysis on Raw Materials, Intermediates, In-Process, Finished Product, or Stability samples using established analytical methods. Responsibilities + Follow good documentation practices for the accurate and timely documentation of all activities. + Perform wet chemistry and instrumentation testing. + Follow site HSE Policies. + Assist with establishing and maintaining safe work standards in the lab. + Peer-review all levels of work. + Conduct lab investigations. + LIMS entry of data. + Use analytical balances, HPLC, GC, ICP, IR, UV, pH Meter, and volumetric glassware. + Perform wet testing such as assay titrations, colorimetric tests, TLC, heavy metals, and sieves. + Maintain instrument readiness. Essential Skills + BS degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science. + Experience in a cGMP environment is preferred. + Working knowledge of wet chemistry is required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Working knowledge of analytical instrumentation (GC/LC, UV, AA). + Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. + Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. + Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards. + Chromatography (GC/LC) and Spectroscopy experience is a plus. + Experience with Chromeleon or other chromatography software is a plus. + Previous pharmaceutical experience is a plus. Work Environment 90% of the work will be conducted in a laboratory environment with exposure to plant products, solvents, and reagents, some of which are hazardous or potent compounds. The remaining 10% will be in an office environment. The candidate will need to get a respirator fitted if they ever need to wear one. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional overtime as needed.
