Job Description: QC Civil Inspector Lead – LNG Plant Construction (Omani Nationals Only)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QC Civil Inspector Lead to oversee and manage civil quality control activities on a major LNG plant construction project in Oman. The role involves ensuring that all civil works meet project specifications, international quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
This position is strictly open to Omani nationals as part of the national workforce development program.
Key Responsibilities: Quality Control Management: Supervise and ensure all civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, codes, and standards. Inspection & Testing: Conduct inspections and tests for earthworks, concrete works, foundations, structural steel, roads, and drainage systems in accordance with quality plans. Non-Conformance Management: Identify, report, and ensure the resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and quality deviations. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate QC records, including inspection reports, material test results, method statements, and work procedures. Coordination & Communication: Liaise with contractors, construction teams, and third-party inspectors to ensure smooth execution of civil quality activities. Compliance & Standards: Ensure all civil works adhere to relevant ISO standards, ASME, ASTM, BS, and project-specific quality requirements. Site Audits & Surveillance: Conduct regular site audits to verify compliance with quality management system (QMS) procedures. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior civil inspectors to maintain high-quality work practices. Safety & Risk Management: Work closely with the HSE team to ensure civil construction activities are executed safely and in line with project safety policies. Qualifications & Experience: Omani National (Mandatory) Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in civil quality inspection, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role on major oil & gas, LNG, or industrial construction projects. Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, methods, testing procedures, and international standards. Experience working in LNG, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects is highly preferred. Proficiency in QC documentation, reporting, and use of inspection tools & equipment. Certifications in QC/QA (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CSWIP, ASNT Level II, or equivalent) is an advantage. Preferred Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination skills. Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Arabic. Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with LNG plant construction processes and regulatory requirements.
