**Job Title: Quality Control Inspector - CNC Machine Products**
**Job Description**
The Quality Control Inspector performs complex inspection procedures on all types of CNC machine products (medium to large, complex double-sided) and assemblies to ensure quality levels are met at pre-ship and final stages of production. The role requires working independently, especially on Sundays, as there are no supervisors present.
**Responsibilities**
+ Conduct intricate visual inspections of complex pre-ship and finished production assemblies and sub-assemblies to ensure conformance with quality standards.
+ Verify the correct CMM program and product before running the program.
+ Select and read appropriate documentation from a broad range of reference materials (Blueprint Reading).
+ Choose inspection methods such as first article checks, sampling, or 100% inspection.
+ Apply knowledge of GD&T and interpret Quality Control Standards to determine pass/fail of inspected parts or assemblies.
+ Access customer quality inspection systems via computer and communicate with Leads or Managers regarding inspection and quality issues.
+ Conduct Post Pack Audits and Direct Fulfillment in-process Inspections.
+ Determine the cause and effect of defects and refer findings to manufacturing facilitators for correction.
+ Review and approve solutions or refer unacceptable responses to the Quality Supervisor for further action.
+ Act as the final checkpoint for finished goods prior to being shipped to the customer or end user.
+ Train other employees in Quality Control processes and procedures.
+ Ensure parts conform to customer quality standards and move parts to workstations for inspection as necessary.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Expertise in quality inspection functions, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and extensive work experience.
+ Ability to complete tasks resourcefully using specialized skills.
+ Capability to work on non-routine assignments and determine methods and procedures for newly introduced tasks.
+ Proficiency in GD&T blueprint reading.
+ Effective presentation skills and the ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
+ Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
+ Proficiency in operating a personal computer with a Windows-based operating system and related software.
+ Knowledge of handheld measurement tools and gages.
+ Ability to write simple correspondence and read and understand visual aids.
+ Common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
+ Basic arithmetic skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of CMMs (Calypso preferred) but familiarity with programs such as PC Dismas, M. Cosmo, or Geo Measure is acceptable.

**Work Environment**
This position operates within a machine shop environment. The shift for this role is Monday to Thursday, from 2:45 PM to 1:15 AM. The work environment requires attention to detail and adherence to safety standards, making it ideal for individuals who thrive in a structured and technical setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, California.
