Job Title: QC Lab Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Bake Lab to create and bake dough in order to test the activity of yeast, including measurements of rise, hardness, pressure, salt, and pH. This role is responsible for precise and accurate laboratory testing on a variety of samples including raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples to ensure the quality of all products.
Responsibilities
+ Perform various microbiological testing for Salmonella and Listeria.
+ Conduct chemical and physical analyses and other tests on wastewater streams.
+ Sample raw materials including process water and fermenters.
+ Conduct Quality Control checks on finished products.
+ Prepare Certificates of Analysis based on positive release program and release products based on pre-established compliance criteria.
+ Inventory and order laboratory equipment and supplies as required.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Microbiology.
+ Experience within Chemistry and Microbiology Laboratories.
+ Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
+ Strong knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Aseptic Sampling Principles.
+ Degree in Biology or Chemistry related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.
+ Previous experience with laboratory testing and equipment.
+ Ability to perform work individually as needed.
Work Environment
Food lab within a 24/7 manufacturing plant. Lab Technicians work on rotating shifts: work five days, off two days each week, with hours from 7am-3:30pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
