POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for testing samples in the lab, verifying instrument calibrations, collecting environmental samples, and other assignments as needed.   ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: + Perform physical testing of raw materials and finished products. + Perform calibration and verification of lab equipment. + Collect environmental samples throughout manufacturing. + Maintain records and charts of environmental testing. + Any other duties and/or assigned responsibilities. Note: This description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may be asked to perform other duties as requested. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE: + High School diploma or equivalent. + At least 1 year experience in quality in a manufacturing environment, nutritional or dietary supplements. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: + Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. + Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. + Ability to understand and follow GMPs, SOPs and GLPs . + Strong critical thinking and communication skills. + Knowledge of MS office, excel and word. + Experience within manufacturing process a plus. + Ability to work well with others. + Ensure quality at each task, and maintain proficiency for meeting deadlines. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs on a regular basis. Work safely with chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Mainly manufacturing environment which may include standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong odors.  Confined spaces, warm and cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surfaces.  Overtime may be required based on manufacturing needs.   Powered by JazzHR
