QC Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for auditing the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s and Los Angeles County Integrated Services Department (ISD) contracts to ensure compliance with the contracts. The QC Manager will conduct audits of contract requirements and write reports to ensure corrective actions are implemented. They will identify new strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of the maintenance operations and will report all finding to corporate headquarters for tracking and implementation.

 

PAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATION (Only for CA, CO, DC, HI, IL, NY, WA)

 

Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000/annually

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Develop and improve quality management systems in order to identify areas of concern and corrective actions. Audit Safety and Environmental programs and ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Provide reports to corporate headquarters on the quality of contract actions in Los Angeles. Develop and maintain inspection reports and corrective action plans. Ensure compliance to federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications Maintain calibration of quality control equipment and ensure calibration of all shop equipment. Perform inspections across all stages of production Prepare and maintain test data for review Evaluate data and draft reports; stating any relevant deviations from existing standards Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

 

High School Diploma or equivalent required Must have solid understanding of test equipment Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience in a supervisory role Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push or move objects up to 50 lbs. Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools.  Additional details related to physical requirements may be outlined in the Company's Performance Work Statement or Contract with the client.

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Work is typically based in a busy service center/maintenance garage environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may also be required.
