Description
Bachelor in Biology, Microbiology or Biochemistry with some lab experience with microbiology is preferred. The candidate will be working with the lab to help retrieve and sort samples for testing. They will be doing media prep, sample prep, autoclave and other microbiological duties. They will be following SOPS and GMP.
- Routine, non-routine environmental monitoring (EM) sampling of the GMP manufacturing facilities for non-viable particulates, air viable, and surface viable. Includes critical utilities (WFI and Compressed Air).
- Competent in sample labeling, collection, documentation and testing.
- Perform basic microbiological assays (bioburden testing, plate count enumeration and endotoxin)
- Adhere to good documentation practices (GDP) and data integrity practices at all times.
- Completes and reviews all aspects of a job to ensure quality.
- Willing to learn and be trained to meet expectations and product testing demands
- Supports the dept in ensuring continuous test operations, good performance, maintenance and housekeeping of lab equipment and facilities
- Interact closely with other depts to ensure efficient, compliant and timely execution of project activities.
- Participates in process and test methods/specification/procedures and equipment operating instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Microbiology, Biology or biochemistry - knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterility is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
