Job Description
We are seeking a QC Supervisor for the day shift to oversee a team consisting of one lead and three quality technicians. This role supports quality control and laboratory functions as well as quality assurance and production support functions.
ResponsibilitiesPerform microbiological analysis of products, water, and environment to support Pre-Operation sanitation and HACCP program ensuring food safety.Accurately collect samples for product testing including energy drinks, sweetener samples, raw water, treated water, sanitation rinse water, and post-sanitation swabbing.Conduct analytical testing on energy drinks, including but not limited to: CO2, air, volumes, crimp, torque, pH, brix, flavor for bottles, and CO2, air, volumes, seam check, pH, and brix for cans.Perform titratable acidity analysis and HPLC analysis for caffeine and preservative levels.Conduct T.O.A. of finished products (Taste, Odor, Appearance).Ensure accuracy and calibration of all measuring devices.Record and document results from product analysis accurately.Ensure batching sheets are filled out properly and within specifications before signing off.Review ingredient labels, specs, weights, and regulatory documents to validate batching/recipe.Communicate with batching, production, and sanitation teams to pull documents, review specifications, and support from a QA standpoint.Pull finished goods samples from production for analytical and customer testing requirements.Review labels and documents for the release of finished products.Perform QA Line Checks every four hours during the shift.Review GMPs and adherence to food safety standards for production.Check temperatures and calibrations of equipment with supporting documentation.Essential SkillsWet ChemistryAseptic TechniqueQuality ControlLine Checks and InspectionsQC ChecksDocumentationManufacturing Line AuditsLaboratory ExperienceBiologyChemistryAdditional Skills & QualificationsAA or BA/BS in a Scientific Discipline2 years of experience in Food QualityData/Documentation SkillsEffective Communication SkillsPrevious lead/oversight experienceWork Environment
Our facility is a contract mixing and bottling manufacturer with a full brewery and two manufacturing sites, each equipped with analytical and micro labs to verify product quality. The day shift operates from 5:45 am to 6:00 pm on a rotating schedule (typically 2 days on, 2 days off, then a 3-day rotating weekend) as part of the Yellow team. This role involves a balanced mix of 50% floor work and 50% lab work, providing well-rounded experience and various future career paths.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
