Job Title: QC TechJob Description This position is responsible for performing quality audits on products and processes at various points during receiving, production, and packaging to ensure adherence to company quality standards. Responsibilities + Perform QC tasks including product sampling, line monitoring, auditing, lab testing, and calibration to ensure compliance with specifications. + Hold products that do not meet company quality standards and provide the appropriate dispositions. + Understand all of the information contained within a product specification sheet. + Be knowledgeable of the quality characteristics for the product packaged. + Conduct lab testing procedures such as brix, refractory index, pH, density, sensory, weights, moisture testing, etc. + Work with pH meter, viscosity meter, and GCMS equipment. Essential Skills + AA/BA/BS degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related science field OR 1+ year experience in Food QC with specific testing experience. + Must be able to wear a half-face respirator when working with specific chemicals in production. + Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in food science, chemistry, and quality control. + Knowledge of lab testing procedures and equipment. Work Environment The work environment involves working in a lab setting testing food for pH and viscosity. The company operates 7 days a week, and candidates should be willing to work one day on the weekend, making it a 6-day work week. Shifts include 1st and 2nd shifts from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, with potential varying hours on weekends. The location is in Commerce, and the schedule rotates to avoid back-to-back weekend shifts when possible. All candidates must be available to work as needed and be prepared to accommodate production demands, which include different shifts on weekends. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
