**The Opportunity**
Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses. It brings together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies to support diagnostic testing, which provides important information for the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.
The position of **QC Technician** is within our Toxicology Business Unit located at **Santa Rosa, CA,** at Redwood Toxicology Lab.
This role will be instrumental in supporting production to the provision of accurate and timely results to our clients. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated individual, a cross-functional team player, and adept at multitasking, in addition to possessing strong attention to detail and being capable of following verbal instructions and written protocols to complete assigned tasks. Duties and responsibilities are listed below. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.

**Shift:**
Monday to Friday
8:00 am-4:30 PM
**What** **You'll** **Do:**
Prepares simple solutions, standards, and reagents, and orders associated with testing. Packages approved solutions and reagents as indicated in method SOP. Performs inventory of stock standards, solutions, and reagents. Orders and receives materials. Communicates timelines and reports issues as they arise.
+ Kits stock standards for complex solution preparations.
+ Performs data entry and maintains QC logs and QC range templates.
+ Performs inventory of and manages storage of QC records.
+ Responsible for upkeep and maintaining organization of QC areas, refrigerators, and freezers. Washes glassware and discards expired materials.
+ Respond to lab inquiries related to QC.
+ Ensures testing solutions are available to production areas without delay.
+ May perform other tasks as directed by management.
**Education and Experience** **You'll** **Bring:**
**Required:**
+ High School Diploma / GED or Higher
+ 1-2 years of experience in a GMP Manufacturing Environment. Previous experience in the Quality Control or Lab Support Department is a plus. Ability to work quickly, safely, and efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory production environment.
+ Read and follow instruction outlined in Standard Operating Procedures. Document quality control activities using Good Documentation Practices. Effectively communicate both verbally & written.
+ The ability to apply mathematical concepts such as dilutions, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
+ The candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
+ Previous experience with or the ability to learn to use pH Meter, Pipettes, Syringes, and Analytical Balance.

The base pay for this position is $18.40 – $36.80 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
