QC Technician
Job Title: QC TechnicianJob Description Quality Technicians spend almost 100% of their time on the production floor, using computers alongside the lines to document all data and non-conformances. They are responsible for identifying products that are out of specification and escalating these issues to the QA Lead. Technicians regularly walk the lines, start each shift by setting up quality equipment, and verify that all systems are functioning correctly. They also conduct visual inspections to ensure products have clear labels and barcodes. Responsibilities + Always understand and demonstrate safe work practices while working. + Monitor the statistical process control (SPC) software suite called Gainseeker. + Monitor, measure, and document line processes to ensure conformance to product Master specifications. + Examine and document packaging components and finished product assembly for conformance to product Master specifications. + Program, calibrate, and assist in the setup of Hi-Speed check weighers, Videojet, and Marsh coders. + Program and monitor the Automated Inventory Management system for identifying and tracking finished production. + Place non-conforming products on hold for disposition by the QC Manager. + Pull product retain samples. + Comply with all company policies and procedures. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Experience in a regulated environment, laboratory, or quality control. + Knowledge of SOP, batch records, GMP, quality checks, and quality inspections. + Strong attention to detail to catch any out-of-spec products. + Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, conversions) to quickly make determinations based on line data. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma minimum with relevant experience or an Associate's degree in a lab-related discipline. + Previous experience in a regulated or Quality Control environment is ideal but not required. + Strong interest in learning and taking on new responsibilities. + Pride in one's work and ensuring all small details and labels are correct. Work Environment Technicians will spend almost 100% of their time in the plant, occasionally working in the lab. They will be on their feet every day conducting inspections. This role provides an opportunity to learn about the pesticide and home protection manufacturing business within crop science. Technicians will be exposed to various instruments and cutting-edge products, with opportunities for promotion as the organization grows. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $21.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
