Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated QC Technician Lead to join our team. The primary responsibilities include line auditing for bread production, environmental monitoring, air sampling, and participating in monthly SQF audits. The role also involves calibration and verification of scales, monitors, and other basic instrumentation. You will use MS Excel, Word, and Office for basic documentation practices while monitoring and verifying product quality throughout the manufacturing process following GMP standards. You will perform visual inspections, monitor product weights, codes, labeling, and other quality checks to ensure product quality. Additionally, you will address all food safety issues and customer complaints with the help of QA Supervisors and perform other periodic tasks as needed.
ResponsibilitiesConduct line auditing for bread production.Perform environmental monitoring and air sampling.Participate in monthly SQF audits.Calibrate and verify scales, monitors, and other basic instrumentation.Utilize MS Excel, Word, and Office for basic documentation practices.Monitor and verify product quality throughout the manufacturing process following GMP standards.Perform visual inspections, monitor product weights, codes, labeling, and other quality checks.Address food safety issues and customer complaints with QA Supervisors.Perform other periodic tasks as needed.Essential SkillsQuality control experience within the Food and Beverage industry.Strong communication skills.Adaptability to rapid change.High School Diploma required.Knowledge of Food Safety practices including SQF, FSMA, or HACCP.Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Must enjoy being on the manufacturing floor daily.Bilingual skills are a plus.Understanding of GMP environment and Environmental Monitoring.Additional Skills & QualificationsHACCP or SQF Certification is a plus.Passion for the food industry with plans to grow in the field.Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.Work Environment
This role involves working in a bread production facility with a focus on quality control and food safety. The candidate must be comfortable on the manufacturing floor daily and work closely with a communicative team. The company offers an amazing opportunity to learn and grow your expertise in food safety, guided by leaders with over 20 years of combined experience in training technicians. The company is growing and involved in import/export with European countries, distributing 300-500 items in addition to in-house manufacturing.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
