WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

RBC is seeking to hire QE lead for its Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. You will be responsible for effective planning, executing, and tracking testing initiatives for IAM. Your objective is to ensure the QE processes are well defined, executed and continually monitored. Working with different project teams to ensure functional/regression test suite is up to date and remains relevant. You will be accountable for driving quality and champion defect prevention/early defect detection via manual and test automation and maximizing test coverage. The goal always will be to ensure we automate as much as possible across all IAM platforms.

Lead testing strategy and management for large transformation projects and process improvement track, including automation framework development, tool selection, end to end execution and implement QE practices across all IAM platforms and services.

Support overall quality engineering strategy for Identity and Access Management.

Accountable to provide subject matter expertise and leadership on test case architecture and design.

Provide recommendations and contribute to solutions in area of expertise including leading QE work streams.

Support the implementation of QE Program and overall QE process and standards through optimized test case architecture and automation in portfolio.

Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Responsible for designing the effective test cases using both manual and automation-based approach and test design techniques.

Responsible for overall quality of testing deliverables/activities.

Automate assigned areas/feature using existing Framework and create new frameworks and provide test estimations.

Support the implementation of the QE Program and overall QE process and standards through continuous test execution and reporting.

Leverage the existing automation frameworks, tools, and artefacts to ensure testing process is continuous, comprehensive, and fully autonomous.

As a quality engineer you will be responsible for owning the feature testing, bug fixes, maintenance along with other QE activities.

Hands-on experience in Java, SQL, Selenium, Python, code review, automation.

Closely work with Application Development team as one unified team to integrate quality engineering mindset/concepts.

Work with Solution Architects to identify E2E application architecture changes to drive QE strategy, planning and execution.

Responsible for technical coaching, mentoring, training, and day to day interaction with a team of Quality Engineers and Analysts, developers and driving test case architecture for projects/programs.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

 Must have:

Typically requires 8-12 years of QE related experience in manual testing and test automation.

Good knowledge of Testing Life Cycle, SDLC and Defect Management processes for application support and development.

Minimum 6 years of experience in a QE/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases).

Hands-on coding experience in Java, SQL, Selenium, Python.

Experience with test automation frameworks/tools e.g., (SoapUI, Selenium, Appium, UFT/Lean UFT/RestAssured/Robot Framework, TestNG) and script development using scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Bash, VB Script etc.)

Good knowledge with QE Processes, Methodologies and Test Design techniques with hands on experience on QTest/ALM, Jira and Confluence. Experience with Iterative Waterfall and Agile Project Methodologies.

Strong problem solving, design, and analytical skills and out of the box thinking coming up with creative solutions on testing approach in critical timelines.

Good knowledge of industry practices with focus on Agile, DevOps, environments and test integration. Excellent communication skills and effective negotiation skills.

Nice-to-have:

QA related certification. E.g. ISTQB, Agile testing, Mobile Testing etc.

Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related (technical) degree/diploma or equivalent experience(e.g., Java, C, SQL DB querying)

Experience with Identify and Access Management and cyber security concepts. Working experience with tools like Sailpoint, OKTA, CyberArk etc.

Any experience with tools like AWS, Azure will be an added advantage.
