JR61172 QRA SSD Returned Material Authorization (RMA) Failure Analysis Engineer

As a QRA SSD RMA (Returned Material Authorization) Engineer/ Lead Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for performing formal FA (Failure Analysis) of customer returned materials. You will work with a team of technical engineers and technicians, focusing on SSD product quality and warranty process.

 

You will summarize analysis at the electrical and physical level identifying root cause and collaborate with product engineering, Business teams and customer facing teams, you will involve in resolving customers escalation and provide the problem-solving team with FA results and/or recommendation for FA plan.

 

You will also be required to administrate the communication of results to functional areas and sustain knowledge of drive characteristics. In addition, you will also serve as an SSD interface for external customer facing team providing data analysis and consultation when necessary.

 

For the lead position, you will oversee area workflow and priorities, determine resource needs and ensure overall area performance to plan is achieved and provide opportunities to expand skills and career growth.

Perform Electrical & Mechanical Verification FA on SSD Customer ReturnsProvide FA Reports to External CustomersManage Escalations Communication of RMA cases to Internal Teams3352Maintain & Develop Knowledge of FA CapabilitiesSetup & maintain the of debug system for DOE and error duplicationServe as SSD Interface for external customer facing teamSupport periodical KPI & Pareto Charts

 

 

Education Required :-

Bachelors Degree Electronics EngineeringRelated field of study

 

 

Experience :-

Competent in Failure Analysis/ System Test (Preferred)Experience in Storage Industry, Customer Interface (Desired)Relevant experience candidate will be considered for a senior position

 

 

Skills :-

A good understanding of NAND flash memory function and SSD storage and architectureComputer hardware knowledge (PCIE, SATA, Bus Tracer) will be advantageousExcellent time and project management skillsGood oral & written communication skillsAbility to work well in a close knit team environmentSelf-motivated with a strong work ethicAbility to work flexible hoursCommitment to technical growthProgramming experience a plusSome travelling needed
