What You’ll Do: 

As a Qualification Lab Engineering Intern at Marmon Electrical, you'll gain hands-on experience in our R&D lab, supporting the testing and qualification of wire and cable products. You’ll conduct experiments, analyze data, and ensure products meet industry standards, all while collaborating with experienced engineers. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop technical skills, improve testing methods, and contribute to real-world product development, setting the stage for your future career in engineering.

 

What You’ll Need: 

Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field preferred).Basic understanding of lab safety protocols and general lab procedures.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data collection, testing, and analysis.Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment (preferred but not required).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and documenting results clearly.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data recording and reporting.Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a dynamic R&D environment.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

Compensation: 

$22.00-$27.00 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience and educational background 

Work Hours/Length of Program: 

The internship will run for 12 weeks from May to August Temporary Part/Full Time, targeting 40 hours per week Exact start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules and the needs of the business This is a paid internship 

Working Conditions and Physical Demands: 

This position is based in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and involves working in a manufacturing environment/general exposure to a manufacturing environment. The environment may involve exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, or other factors. Employees are required to abide by PPE guidelines when onsite.

Successful completion of a drug screening and a physical exam are required for this role This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time. Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. May involve moving or lifting items up to 50 poundsAbility to work in a manufacturing setting
