Key Responsibilities:
Strip vehicles and compare the damage to the quotation. Inform the Estimator of any discrepancies and update the job card accordingly. Use expertise to determine when to repair or replace parts, in collaboration with the Estimator. Sign for all new parts received from the store. Place parts for painting in the paint shop and manage the timeline. Fit all parts to the required standard, ensuring quality control is integrated into the repair process. Communicate any delays with the GM, Estimator, or Workshop Foreman. Work overtime as needed. Maintain workshop cleanliness and assist with general housekeeping. Help move vehicles around the shop and Wash Bay. Adhere to parts processes, ordering only as per job cards and direct instructions from the Workshop Foreman. Follow up on parts shortages and discrepancies not listed on the job card. Track and update all back-ordered parts accurately. Attend departmental meetings to ensure effective communication. Provide feedback on vehicle parts performance during WIP meetings, discussing individual customer vehicle progress and targets. Requirements/Skills:
Qualified Automotive Body Repairer (Red Seal Certification) At least 3 years of experience in an automotive body shop is essential Own transport required Strong planning and organisational skills Ability to follow instructions and procedures Commitment to excellence Results-oriented Knowledge of mechanical repairs Experience with general automotive body repair equipment *Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted*
