Kamatics, a division of Kaman, is looking for a Quality Engineering Administrator to join our Quality team at our Bloomfield, CT facility. The QE Admin will be working on the Quality Assurance team, handling various administrative tasks involving supporting documentation for our parts and processes. Although technical knowledge is not required, we are looking for a team member who is enthusiastic in learning aspects of our quality and machining processes.

 

You will have a hand in customer, internal and 3rd party audits and will ensure compliance with standards, recommend dynamic solutions, identify potential process issues and assist in the upkeep of quality documentation. You will be a key contributor to our corrective action processes, both tracking results and coordinating meetings. Strong written and verbal communication is a must and will help in evaluating the effectiveness of Quality programs and concerns to management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist Quality Team with Internal/External (including regulatory) audits and to perform end of year audit overview.

 

Support root cause investigations on any internal or external non-conformances. This may include 8D, 5 Why, DOE, or other similar methodologies to find the true root cause of problem. 

 

Work well in a team environment but have the ability to work independently when required.

 

Strong communication skills using verbal, written, or electronic media. Have the ability to design and explain concepts and requirements to those with less training and background & be willing to instruct.

 

Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures / programs and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.

Support MRB & MRB walk activities and communicate results to the Quality Team and associated Value Stream.

Key Focal for internal change board and management of change processes.

 

Make and document recommendations for improvements to work processes and procedures. Contribute to and lead 6S, Shelf Life Material & FOD Programs/Audits in value streams.

 

Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers as well as Quality Management (Compliance, Ops & Supplier). Contribute to positive teamwork environment.

 

Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in training/learning other QA positions. Accomplish related results as needed. Qualifications

Education: 

High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Experience: 

2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing/Quality function, preferred. Experience in a Job Shop environment encouraged but not mandatory.
