Position: Quality Administrator

Location: Mississauga Flexibles

Wage: $24.19

Shift: 12-hour rotating continental shifts (2 weeks working days, then 2 weeks working nights)

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will coordinate and participate in activities as outlined in the Quality Management System. All employees are mandated to create a zero injury environment and engage actively in all areas of Sonoco’s Performance System (SPS).

 What you’ll be doing:

Support site management in efforts to achieve customer requirements and quality objectivesCreate Certificate of Conformity/Analysis (COC/COA) for customers, indicating that the product delivered meets predefined specifications and/or standardsPerform quality-related activities (inspection, testing, gauge calibration , sampling of materials)Complete all administrative paperwork and data base entry and maintain document controlTrack and measure quality results and respond to quality issuesPerform internal quality auditsProduce and report on metrics used in auditing and analysis of processesInvestigate customer feedbacks, returned material authorizations and other quality events

We’d love to hear from you if you possess the following requirements:

Minimum of 2-4 years’ related experienceKnowledge and understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standardsGrade 12 education or equivalentPost-Secondary education i.e., Business Administration; Process/Production Engineering (would be an asset)Good communication skills (both orally and in writing)Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)Good time management and organizational skillsAre able to work with minimal supervisionAre 18 years of age or olderAre legally entitled to work in CanadaAre available to work 12-hour rotating continental shifts (2 weeks working days, then 2 weeks working nights)
